Day 41, Los Angeles
A chill day in Los Angeles, walked around a lot. A note on walking: one often hears "nobody walks in Los Angeles" and "there is no public transportation, you need a car". I would rather attribute that to laziness, as it is possible to walk and ride public
transportation effectively everywhere. Public transportation is also surprisingly cheap, considering how expensive the city is otherwise.

The street outside our hostel is cluttered with these.

So this is where they work!

A shop of curiosities - teeth, skulls, butterflies, vintage postcards etc. I purchased some of the latter, but my companion went on a shopping spree.

Santa Monica Beach! Waves were too rough for a swim, though. The wind in Los Angeles is also surprisingly cold, I wonder if it is always like this. You see people on pictures from Los Angeles dressed lightly, but the wind is really chilly
and you have to wear long sleeves if the sun is covered.
