Day 11, Almaty
The day was spent exploring Almaty. First we went to the Botanical Gardens and the well-hidden syringarium. 250 KZT / per person.
We continued to Kok Tobe by cable car to enjoy the views and the amusement park! 2000 KZT per person for round trip by cable car.
When walking home we passed by the marvellous Zenkov’s Cathedral!
Tomorrow the trip will continue to Urumqi in China! Buying tickets for the bus from Almaty is a hassle though - you have to go to the bus station Sairan and purchase them with cash from the ticket office. Bus leaves every day at 07:00.
