Day 17 and leg 8, Dunhuang - Xi’an
Not a particularly eventful day - we sat on train K369 departing Dunhuang 敦煌 at 09:12 all day and night long. Dunhuang train station 敦煌站 does not see many trains a day - one to Beijing 北京, one to Xi’an 西安, one to Jiayuguan 嘉峪关 and
three to the Gansu 甘肃 capital Lanzhou 兰州. Far more trains travel through Liuyuan 柳园 along the main railway between Lanzhou 兰州 and Ürümqi.
The day was spent reading, eating noodles, sleeping, watching films and hatching eggs in Pokémon Ultra Moon.
The views along the Hexi Corridor 河西走廊 between Dunhuang 敦煌 and Lanzhou 兰州 did not change much during the entire day.
