Day 72 and leg 20, Halifax - Hamburg
Apparently the WiFi was limited and everyone’s connection ended last evening. Luckily enough we have reached the Irish coast, so I can use mobile data!
Conflicting messages here. (Smoking is in principle forbidden inside, but the chief officer thinks it is worse to smoke outside due to flammable cargo.)
View from the bridge. The captain on this ship was much less entusiastic about passengers getting acquainted with the bridge than the captain on the previous ship.
Grimaldi Line’s internal magazine onboard had an article about Atlantic Star when it entered service some three years ago: its predecessor was apparently sailing under Swedish flag and was based in Gothenburg, but for tax reasons they changed
to the British flag and moved to Liverpool. Gothenburg was also dropped from the sailing schedule. (Could the frequent strikes have contributed? Not mentioned explicitly.)
