Day 74 and leg 20, Halifax - Hamburg
We arrived in Liverpool during the night and were given the opportunity for a shore leave. This opportunity is not offered to you by itself - you need to be insistent yourself to get it arranged.
On land for the first time in a week!
We took a Uber to the city and were recommended the Anglican cathedral as a point to start our sightseeing. This cathedral has a conveniently lovated shop, café and restaurant inside the church, so you can listen to the sermon while munching
on a pastry!
To stress its Anglicanism, the cathedral has one of these installed inside too.
Should it rain, just head next to the enormous Lush supermarket (allegedly the largest Lush shop) on Church Street.

The river Mersey shows no mercy to commercial needs in its tidal fluctuations - one can only say merci, when the water returns!
