Day 66, Halifax
This will probably be the last update for at least a week: tomorrow we will board the ship to cross the Atlantic. After a stop in Liverpool, it will continue to Hamburg, where we will disembark.

The upper right window glass in the middle window has a shadow of a person in it - legend has it that it has been there since the Halifax Explosion I wrote about in the previous post. The
window is located on the western wall of St Paul’s church.

Outside the church there was a rally (one speaker and four listeners) by the right-wing extremists in National Citizens Alliance. Some counter-demonstrators (about as few) were present protesting against the message, after which the police was
summoned and the rally ended in almost all of the people present being separated from each other by the four cars full of constables.

The Old Burying Ground was closed for new burials in 1844, making it an interesting historical monument over old gravestone art.

A Halifax spa with a suspiciously Swedish name...

Some transportation companies (read: SL, SJ) do everything they can to discourage cycling and cyclists from using their services. Other (such as more or less every transportation company in the United States and Canada) offer bicycle
slots, even on regular city buses.

US Americans eat Swedish Fish, Canadians eat Swedish Berries.

Hear, hear! Art in Halifax.
